Mackinac Island Signing - August 7

Since we moved to Michigan, I've been a little obsessed with Mackinac Island. . Because of its isolation, the residents have had to find their own way of doing things - from horse-drawn deliveries to using old Christmas trees to mark a safe path to land when the lake freezes over. It reminds me a little bit of my hometown in Kentucky.
And yes, it's possible that my study of the island influenced how I wrote about Starfall Point.
Scheduling a book signing event on Mackinac has been an "author goal" since I learned how to pronounce "Mackinac" correctly. (It's Mack-in-AWE. Not Mack-in-ACK.) So I'm very excited to announce that I'll be appearing from 1-3 pm, August 7 at The Island Bookstore. I'll sign books, answer questions and give away as many reader goodies as I can haul on the ferry.
And that reminds me - to get to the island, you'll have to arrive by air or by sea. For more information on getting to the island, click here. For more information about The Island Bookstore, click here.
I hope to see you there!
