Important Details: Serves as the local sheriff. Is not good at giving traffic tickets to old ladies.

Has a secret treasure hoard, no he will not tell you where.

Creature Type: Phoenix shifter

Significant Other: Jillian Ramsay, PHD

Special Talent: Shifting into a blue flaming phoenix. Vomiting lava.

Important Details: Started the series as a human, but was changed by the rift.

Pregnant with Bael’s dragon baby egg – which is why there’s lava.

Zed Berend

Creature Type: Bear shifter

Significant Other: Dani Teel

Special Talent: Shifting into a brown bear. General awesomeness.

Important Details: Serves as the mayor. Not afraid of public nudity.

Danica Teel

Creature Type: Dynakinetic

Significant Other: Zed Berend

Special Talent: Manipulating energy, including the rift.

Important Details: Mildly obsessed with llamas. Makes a mean applesauce.

Does not tolerate parental fraud.

Dr. Rob Aspern

Creature Type: Human

Significant Other: Ingrid Asher

Special Talent: Really, really, really long division. Also, withstanding tree attacks.

Important Details: Dubbed “Dr. Ken Doll Assface” by Zed, who thought he was interested in Dani. Eventually, Zed apologized.

Ingrid Asher

Creature Type: Hulder (Scandanavian tree nymph)

Significant Other: Rob Aspern

Special Talent: Interacting with and traveling through trees.

Making life-changing ice cream. See also, bluntness.

Important Details: Don’t mess with her cows.

Sonja Fong

Creature Type: Human 

Significant Other: Dr. Will Carmody

Special Talent: Being the most competent person you will ever meet. 

Important Details: Cannot watch the Little Mermaid without blushing.

Dr. Will Carmody

Creature Type: Selkie 

Significant Other: Sonja Fong

Special Talent:  Shifting into well… a merman. Also, can do medical stuff. 

Important Details: One of the few people who left Mystic Bayou long-term.

He’s a little sensitive about the merman thing.
